Envío’s Josh – London Marathon Update

We are delighted to confirm that Josh completed the London Marathon yesterday in an amazing 3 hours 14 minutes! Well done to him and the many others that took part!

Over 50,000 runners set off from Greenwich in last Sunday’s London Marathon, in staggered starts from 8:15am. Among the many that were hoping to be running down The Mall to finish the race this year was our very own Josh Sweeney.

Now known as the TCS London Marathon, last weekend’s event was the 45th time the race has been run. Usually a key sporting occasion on April’s calendar, the race was temporarily moved to October during 2020, 2021 and 2022 because of Covid restrictions.

Josh had been in training for the 26 mile run all year and was confident he would finish his first London marathon, being a keen runner, footballer and regular at his local boxing gym.

Many of you that deal with our FCL operational department will be familiar with Josh, who has been an important part of our fantastic team for 5 years, having joined Envío in early 2019.

The directors & staff of Envío are delighted that Josh completed his milestone; and he was still able to walk from the car park to the office on Monday morning!
