The Latin America Sweepstake Is Done And Envio Is World Cup Ready!
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off in Mexico on June 11th, the Envio office has completed its all-important World Cup sweepstake draw.
The stakes? A bottle of champagne and a gift voucher for the lucky team member whose nation goes furthest in the tournament. With plenty of Latin American interest in the office (as you’d expect from Envio!), there’s already plenty of debate, optimism and a fair amount of questionable football knowledge being shared around the office.
Here’s how the draw unfolded:
Sean Stokes – Managing Director
Team: Paraguay 🇵🇾
Sean has landed Paraguay, a nation making its World Cup return after a long absence. They’re considered outsiders but have a reputation for being difficult to break down. Sean is already talking about a historic run to the quarter-finals. Everyone else is talking about the group stage.
Odds to win: Around 150/1
Scott Easton – Director
Team: Argentina 🇦🇷
Scott may have pulled the office favourite. The reigning world champions arrive with serious expectations and plenty of talent. Scott is trying to play it cool, but we’ve already noticed him browsing champagne recommendations.
Odds to win: Around 8/1
Josh Sweeney – Operations Manager
Team: Curaçao 🇨🇼
One of the tournament debutants and one of the longest shots in the competition. Josh is embracing the underdog role and reminding everyone that football is full of surprises. It would certainly be one for the history books.
Odds to win: Around 500/1
Jaqui Rungay – Procedures & Sales Support
Team: Colombia 🇨🇴
Colombia arrive with a talented squad and plenty of attacking flair. Jaqui’s quietly confident and may be one of the smartest picks in the office. Don’t be surprised if Colombia cause a few upsets.
Odds to win: Around 40/1
Max Lashmar – Operations
Team: Panama 🇵🇦
Panama face a tough challenge but have proven before that they can mix it with bigger nations. Max has already declared himself “dark horse champion” despite the bookmakers disagreeing.
Odds to win: Around 500/1
Darren Bond – Operations
Team: Uruguay 🇺🇾
A proper football nation with a habit of turning up when it matters. Uruguay may not be among the favourites, but nobody will want to face them in the knockout rounds. Darren looks quietly pleased with this draw.
Odds to win: Around 50/1
Chris Gaduzo – Inside Sales
Team: Ecuador 🇪🇨
Ecuador continue to improve on the international stage and have a young, energetic squad capable of causing problems. Chris is already calculating potential knockout routes and dreaming of a surprise semi-final appearance.
Odds to win: Around 80/1
Will O’Shea – Operations
Team: Haiti 🇭🇹
Another nation making a long-awaited return to the World Cup. Will’s strategy is simple: ignore the odds and believe. It’s a bold approach, but every great football story starts somewhere.
Odds to win: Around 1000/1
Tilly Grant – LCL Operations
Team: Brazil 🇧🇷
Tilly has drawn one of the tournament giants. Five-time world champions Brazil are always among the favourites and will expect to challenge for the trophy. Unsurprisingly, Tilly has become very popular in the office.
Odds to win: Around 8/1
Joanne Humphrey – Accounts
Team: Mexico 🇲🇽
As one of the host nations, Mexico will have the backing of passionate home crowds throughout the tournament. Joanne is convinced that home advantage could take them further than many expect.
Odds to win: Around 80/1
With the sweepstake complete and the tournament just around the corner, all that’s left is to enjoy the football and see who’ll be collecting the champagne when the final whistle blows in July.
